What's the verdict, please? Expensive but worth it? Does it actually make a difference? All info gratefully received... i'm thinking about treating my new horse to one, because she's got quite tight muscles everywhere, but she's got to pass the vetting first. *crosses everything*
Thankyou.

I have had mine about a year now and really rate it. My boy was very tight and stressed when i got him and he has relaxed no end. It really helps with warming up his muscles before riding too.
I also use it after i have run him cross country.
Lots of people on here will say its not worth the money, but each to their own and if you can afford it the horse will definitely benefit from it.

Yes and no imo.

It doesnt, of course, replace the need for a good physio / chiropractor to care for your horses back. It does SEEM to help keep things in order in between professional treatments.

It CANT fix actual problems in the horses back... it does SEEM to help relax tight muscles.

It's great for throwing on before you ride and would definitly appear to cut down warm up times.

Its a nice gadget to have if you can afford one but far from a necessity imo. If you're happy to view it as something more for maintenance than as a cure, then yep, they're definitly a useful toy.

a couple of people did dissertations on them looking at an improvement in stride length and range of motion in the joints and found no significant difference before and after treatment, depends what you are wanting it for though?

Just a word of warning, Olympic wasn't the best horse in the world to clip and Kat put one on him and he went mental. As far as he was concerned it was a giant clipper strapped around his middle
