Equissage Machine??

I think Becki2003 used to work for them......

Ive seen people using them out competing on horses before they start riding. Ive never used one on either of mine tho.

Got one and love it. The only thing I would say, is that the hand held unit can make my hand go a bit numb. But that's it.

They are great, and the horses love them.

Ive got one and both my boys love it. It really relaxes them and one of them is much looser once he has worn it. I also use it after going cross country. Expensive, but worth it. Mind you, other people on here will tell you what a waste of money they are.
Each to their own i say!

When i had the demo, initially both my boys were very suspicious but once they realised it wouldnt kill them they both relaxed and loved it.

well im going to have it done on my 6yo and my mare who is with her foal and coming back into work !! my mare wont care but i can see my 6yo trying to kill the nasty machine !!

A friend has one and uses it on all her horses before and after work - really rates it - the only thing she maons about is the battery running out when she's forgotten to charge the spare

Tempi - my mate who has it uses is on an Advanced horse who is connie x tb and naturally quite choppy and tense and on her 4yo huge boy - she swears by it and really rates the improvement

I really liked mine when I worked for them... They are on my wish list because it made a real difference to Hannah and would help Grace's lymphangitis!

We are in lancs, there is a lady who takes hers to horses on yards within our area. Charges £20 a time and travelling if very far out.

Do many people hire it ???

I was thinking of charging my liveries £10 a time ?? or if they had it regularly every week say 3 times a week for £20 ?? x

When i was working for them quite a few livery yards did this and hired them out as part of the contract. However, what most said was that they needed to buy extra batteries due to the number of horses per day using it.

One lady included it in her livery prices...
£30 per week livery
£10 per week unlimited use of the machine.

I've got one, including the hand held unit, tendon boot and car pad and have used it all of three times!!! Might consider selling it as I just dont have the time to put it on, and mess about! Such a waste!

yes they are very good but dont subsitute them for your usual phyio, chiro etc, but they are great at warming your horse up before riding.

thanks no would never do that !! have a great physio lady who comes every 3 months !!! my boy can be alittle cold back in the winter though so will really help him !!!

Beckie2003 - god is that cheap or is it normal ?? xx

I have a physio out to my boys at least twice a year, more if they need it but the equissage definitely helps in between times.

Horrendously overpriced vibrating motor but if you have liveries willing to pay to hire it then at least you will get some of your outlay back!

We have one at the yard and it costs £40 per month for 20 mins each day! You have to have several batteries as they constantly need charging!

ok thanks xx cant you just plug it in to the mains x

The batteries need to be charged and then sit on top on the Equissage. It drives you mad when they die after a few minutes. The £40 isn't supposed to inc usage of the hand held unit, although we have used it! Just make sure that people are sensible when they use it - I've seen the clips snap when horses get them caught in haynets and my boy was a tad spooked when the underbelly strap came undone and it was buzzing around the underside of his neck! Not sure what the rule is for any damages....?

Complete utter tosh and waste of money.
There is one to hire at £10 a go my yard- and not one person hires it ( that is 40 liveries!)
