Cost aside, can anyone comment on these. I have been impressed by an Equissage set but have since heard from several people that aside from the lack of a hand held unit, the Equilibrium back pad is just as good as the more expensive option.

I use an Equilibrium pad every day on my horses and find it well worth having one.

I was given a demo with the Equissage and found no difference what so ever.

As for not having a hand held massager I bought a human one from a local chemist and it works just as well. You can also get one that has an infra red head which is useful too.

The difference in price is another thing. The Equissage cost about £2,000 and the Equilibrium pad costs about £200 . Also there are often deals with the Equilibrium pad and you get the magnetic sheet free.

I had a demo of the Equissage a few years ago and was no really that impressed as the cost was extortionate. I invested in the Equilibrium one last year and think it has made the world of different to my 3 horses. I don't use it everyday but at least a couple of times a week they love it and just drift off to sleep. I use it before and after I ride and my horses especially my wooden mare are much easier to work and I have not had to have the physio out to treat them so its saved me money as well.
