Have you had a look at Equilibrium instead? From my experience they are much lighter/easier to use and cheaper. This was a few years ago so Equissage may have changed.
Absolutely brilliant imo and well worth the expense! If I am competing I use mine before hand to warm up the muscles, but I mainly use it after exercise to relax the back muscles. Both my horses seem to really enjoy it on a medium setting after they have worked hard, especially if they have had a hard days hunting! i do believe it keeps them supple and releases any tension in the back, and I have also had good results when on my vets advice i used the hand held unit on a tendon injury.
I've heard alot of people prefer the equilibrium massage ones, was looking into a couple of weeks ago, Now saving upto to buy a equilibrium one (cheaper than equissage, so shouldn't be too long...)
Sorry doesn't really help!
I had an equissage and it was OK but after a while spent more time at home than at the yard so I sold it. I now have the equilibrium pad and find it gets great results, is much lighter to move around and costs about one tenth of an equissage. My vote is for the equilibrium pad
had an equilibrium massaage pad on trial for two weeks....
BRILLIANT !! much cheaper than others and if you look on rideaways website if you buy the massage pad,you get the magnetic back pad free (worth abt £80+)
My horse had a massage last Friday and she loved it. This was done after she was ridden for the first time in 10months, I thought she would appreciate it. Her head was touching the floor so it obviously felt good to her. Cant speak for her but impression given was that it felt good.
