Hi,
We are looking at possibly buying the above brand new and just thought I would see people's view of them and if there have been any problems with them,we want a rear facing with the wider ramp hence why looking at this.
Many thanks.

Just replied to a post in TR about this but this is basically the same hopefully shorter version. A friend has an Equi-Trek (not sure which one but its fairly big). She needed a new side and axle doing and it was going to cost her (£3K!!!!!!!!). She had it from new and it was 6 years old. We have an Ifor Williams - probably verging on 20 years old and a once-bad traveller - a new side, ramp and bits and pieces cost approx £1100. So in short, Ifor Williams would appear to be better value etc....

Our show treka is around 6 years old now and not had any problems at all. I certainly wouldn't go back to a 'normal' trailer now we've had an equitrek.

Looking at the post above, I'd say you can be unlucky with any brand of trailer, and an equitrek sounds perfect for your requirements.

You'll get mixed feedback! They're a bit marmite!

My friend had one, horse freaked in it (not the trailers fault ;)!) but it didn't take long for her to almost kick through the side, I was really shocked! Also, the after sales service us appalling!!!

Have you looked at Van Fautras? They look to be well built trailers? Or the new Ifor Williams Eventa?

I had an equi-trek space trekka L for several years and loved it but saying that the build quality then was not as good as say Ifor Williams trailers.

however, all the horses I travelled in it, all travelled exceptionally well.

Some equitrek dealers are better than others for after sales so do your research

Thankyou for all your replies, they are all much appreciated.I have got the impression they are a bit like Marmite. It would not carry ever bigger than a 16.1 and would only be taking between a 12.2,a 14.hh or a 15.hh,They are all good travellers. We did look at the Van Fautras but think they were more than we can afford at the mo with other large outlays at the moment. Will look at the Ifor Williams Eventa-really want the face backwards and the Equitrek seems airier as my boy gets a bit funny with narrow entries but went happily on and off my friends little two horse exactly like Equitrek. Many thanks everyone for replying.

Had one loved it, horse loved it, great area at front for kit. Never had any problems with it, you will need a good towing vehicle though as with 2 in and kit it is slightly heavier than505. Lovely to tow though.

Thankyou all for your replies-good or bad, they all help!. Those who have them-do you think the M would be large enough for a 14hh and 15hh,they would very rarely travel together as at different levels and even in the future would only have a 16.1 as not blessed with height!.
Lastly, has anyone dealt with the stockists in Billingshurst,Sussex as this is our closest.
Many thanks once again.
