equitrek trail trecka L

has anyone got the equitreck trail trecka trailer?
or has any views on them?
i am thinking on selling my lorry and looking for a trailer, i like the idea that its enclosed more like a lorry than a normal trailer (would love one of the ones with living as i will miss the living in the lorry but cant afford a jeep big enough to tow onw!)
i will be towing 1 horse only at a time and will be using my freelander, checked out the tow weights etc and all seems fine

Personally i wouldn't touch equitrek

I was going to buy a Space Treka M and was told by many people including my riding instructor not to bother

The chassis's have been breaking
Horses have managed to put their head through the roof
Heard many stories about them falling apart very quickly

Plus with a side ramp if the trailer tipped there are no other exits to get the horse out - I just thought of that the other day

My riding instructor said they had a person bring there horse for a lesson and when the trailer turned a corner the chassis broke and to which equitrek replied "you must have hit a curb" after arguing she got a replacement and within a few weeks same thing happened again.

I had my heart set on a equi trek but have bought an ifor Williams HB 506 much better after sales if anything goes wrong

Having just sold my 11 year old Ifor Williams trailer, I spent hours trawling the various web sites for a replacement, I looked really hard at the Equi-Trek, the only thing I didn't like about them is they look ungainly ie. The wheels are under the trailer whereas the Batesons, Ifors etc the wheels are either side of the box which to me means it sits firmer on the ground. Also with only the side ramp, if you were to break down in a lane how are you to get your horse out I'd needs be with only the side ramp??? I had an early Equi-Trek when the 1st came out but sold it as my horse hated going backwards and the trailer was too cumbersome for the narrow lanes when coming out of gateways
