Hi there

I'm looking to buy a horse trailer and have been looking around at what there is available. I have decided on 2 an Equitrek or Ifor Williams 505.I know how good Ifor Williams 505 are but I'm a little unsure about equitrek and from what I read their not as good as the 505 or robust.

My mare sometimes panics a little until we start moving and then
She travels like a dream so I need to know she's going to be safe and not kick through walls (I know not garunteed but would like a fighting chance).

Any nay views would be great

thanks

A friend of mine has had an Equi-Trek from new for 6 years and recently its needed a new side and axle I think (without having any too bad travelers in it). The only people who will do it are an actual Equi-Trek workshop and they are charging £3K approx!!!! (for a new side and an axle I think). Just had a load of work on our Ifor Williams which is probably nearly 20 years old and it cost £1100ish. This was with a new ramp, sides and some other bits and pieces! From this and other reviews, Ifor Williams are probably safer and better. Saying that, her horses have all travelled well in it though and having tack lockers/the bit at the front is admittedly very handy.
