Does any one know anything about them or own one
Lady on our yard has one for her pony and it is ever such a nice soft english saddle for the money and every little detail thought out ie knee rolls shaped over blocks to prevent creasing and little leather flap over stirrup bar to prevent denting!

Just wondered if any one else has experience?!?

My horse came with an Equextra saddle made to fit him, working hunter style so straightish flaps but with slight pads. I love it. I've had him 11 years so the saddle must be 13-plus years old now, used 4-5 times a week, usually hacking and we did a spell of 20 mile endurance rides too. I find it very comfy although I'm taller than his previous owner and he goes well in it.
The leather is very soft, esp on the padded bits, and with longtime use, you may find, as I did last year, that you need to get the padded bits restitched in places.
Had a stirrup bar rivet replaced earlier this year by a local saddler who said they're not a normal construction so he'd had to strip it right down to get at the bar. he did and the bill was £50 which was far cheaper than buying a new one so I was happy.
Sadly have lost my usual local saddlefitter (retired) who used to come out once a year and adjust the flocking where necessary.. on the to-do list, find a good saddler to come and check the fit once a year.

I have one and love it, it is the terranger(sp) model but with knee rolls that are hidden ( a feature I liked off a different model but wanted on mine), it was made to fit me and my old boy so has short flaps for my little legs etc which were all done at no extra cost when it was made

Any other comments on these saddles... seen them on ebay, but they dont seem to have any feedback for a while!

Hello we are Equxtra Saddles we have just come across your comments and see you are happy with our saddles. @suechoccy Unfortunatley the stirrup bar came away on your saddle, we do not make our own trees the stirrup bar is part of the saddle tree. Don't understand why your saddler would say they are not of normal constuction as our saddler John Lilley took out an apprenticeship in Walsall and the biggest firm he has worked for was Falcon Saddlery. All saddles in Walsall are made the same way. If you do need any requirements for you saddle we do offer repair services. I hope you continue to enjoy your Equxtra Saddle. If you want to contact John Lilley the saddle maker his number is 01922 409192.
