I was just wondering if anyone had used Eric Gillie for shorter journeys?

We have 4 horses on my yard we'd like to take to some shows this summer; were based in Edinburgh so I'm guessing it work out ridiculously expensive?

You could ask them but as far as I know they don't do shorter journeys. They travel in one direction one day & back another day. Always worth a call to find out though.

I'm not sure if they do shorter journeys. They have a range of size lorries so they might. Best to give them a call for a quote, they are very friendly and helpful. Have you thought about hiring a horsebox? It is expensive but will probably work out the same as having someone drive you to and from the show.

Unfortunately three of us are under 23 and the other one hasn't had their licence for more than a year which seems to be the stipulations of most box hiring companies.

When you look on "fleet" it says they have a smaller trailer which is good for local journeys and that got me thinking. I suppose it's always worth asking anyway :) Thanks

I am sure they do short journeys. We have friends in the Borders and they used them (smaller box) to do the Border Union Show.
Ask, I know Mrs G always sounds a bit sharp but they have always helped me when I need transport for mares and foals from stud to home. (around 60 miles)
