Well took my boy to Eridge on Saturday, did a fab dressage and got 29, then did sj and went clear, so I was one very happy girl at this point as we were leading, so onto xc and the little git slammed on the breaks a couple of strides out of start box and threw his toys out of the pram by spinning, rearing, walking backwards, after many attempts to get him to face the first fence and failing I had to give up. He is only six and I think he is trying it on and we had over a 4 hour wait in between dressage and sj so I think after sj he had thought he had finished. Hope I can sort him out with help of very experienced trainer/event rider as he is a lovely boy. My emotions are all over the place after that performance

Ah well, as you know, i can sympathise with a rubbish day on Sat!!!

However, the first two bits went so well for you so take positives from those!!! I'm sure you will work out the leaving the start box issue soon. Where are you next?

We are at Tweseldown on Saturday and I am hoping my instrctor is going to ride him for me just to put him straight on a few things, then hoping to do Little Mattingley, how about you?

Well after a great jumping lesson this morning i think i might do a late entry into Tweseldown on Saturday as they are still taking intro entries. I want to get back in the ring asap!!!! Then i have Brightling next week and then Little Mattingley i think

Might see you Sat!

I think i spoke to you sat as u came back from the xc start??i said"sorry u didnt get to go xc",.Lovely horse,if u can overcome that start fear, sillyness,u have a cracking eventer there with that dressage score!!!! Obv just a naughty baby thing!!best of luck for T.down.

Ah thanks yes I do remember speaking to you thanks for your kind words. He has only done this once before but does tend to be nappy in certain places xc. I just need to learn to be able to ride him through it. My very experienced instructor manages to overcome it so I think it is going to be down to sheer grit and determination on my part.
