Yes, it does read rather stragely doesn't it. Maybe she's selling it on behalf of the owners but you'd want to check first, wouldn't you. Sounds as if she's fairly young.

Can't see anything wrong with it TBH..

Seems like the owners have given horse to the girl to sell on their behalf..

To be going off to college she'd have to be 15/16 surely? Unless she means uni....

further ed college...16+
university college(uni without status) 18+

I would say that she is selling on behalf of the owners...has ridden and worked on it and will get a small fee for doing so,TBH I would not be inspired to look at it as the 'wording of add' does not feel one with confidence.......interesting she is honest about the other horse(youngster)she is selling........Still question as to where all these horses are coming from......maybe,she is a little equine entrepreneur!

She does...according to her second advert..

I know these dealers very well - I wouldn't believe a word of the story tbh, he was probaby bought at Cambridge Sales or something like that. Or they bought him from someone as a companion horse etc. They used to advertise as trade, but see they are now down as private advertisers....

That's very cheeky IF they're dealers with all the "I'll miss him.." and so on, not very nice and just goes to show what lengths people will go to

Not commenting on this particular advert as don't know them so this is not aimed at them what so ever but I know a few dealers that:-

are now trading as private sellers..huh is this possible?

Using sob stories to get people to buy their horses....this is certainly possible.

Putting pictures of little girls on horses to make them look like schoolmasters....madness I know

I think there is a few jumping onto to this band wagon so buyers beware!

We bought our haffie off of someone who said they were 'private' but also had 2 other horses for sale at the same time, they had about 8 horses of differing ages, breeds etc and they have listed other ponies for sale since then, all with the story that they are either going back to college or are going to work full time.

Just had a look on Horsemart and they have one on there now....something tells me they aren't 'Private' sellers.
