In the middle of P10 today, as you change rein from B to E in WT, the judge honked me. I was sure that I was right, and the judge stuck her head out of the car window and said "Sorry, I leant on it by accident. You are doing it right. Carry on."

Its hard enough doing a test on "Skippy the Bush Kangaroo" as it is, without the judge trying to put me off!

I've done that when judging SJ, rung the bell and then realised the rider had jumped the correct course and I'd got it wrong - highly embarassing!

I once had a judge who leapt from her car & stopped me, then told me I was riding the wrong test, then went very red, apologised profusely & said, OMG it's pick a test isn't it. I then started again, & forgot the test, then someone rushed down from the gallery to read it for me, needless to say, we weren't placed!!

I joined the potential judging list, and was doing some judging at local unaff class as a favour. The woman running the show was writing for me.

Just as a nervous, mature lady rode down the centre line, my writer flung open the car door to yell at someone warming up in the wrong place. The horse spooked, the rider fell off, my writer got back in and said how on earth did she manage to fall off in trot? Rider got off floor and had no idea why horse had spooked, as had been too nervous to look up, we all spent five minutes catching the startled beast, then dusted off rider, legged her up and we got back in the car. I was too cowardly to let on what had happened, suggested she start again and marked very generously!!!

And I even judged again for same show organiser ...
