Yes I did 2 my mare who tied up. Seemed 2 help & didn't tie up again but that could have been due 2 all the other precautions I did & other stuff I used.
I spent a lot of time speaking 2 v helpful D&H rep who said you could feed a lot (can't recall exact amount but bout 7-8kg/day I think) & they wouldn't tie up.
I never fed anywhere like this bit after another (unrelated) stay in vets & massive weight loss I did up amount she got by a lot & still no probs
If u fone D&H they'll send samples cos they must taste wee bit funny cos a lot of horse on yard wouldn't touch them & I had 2 soak them & add mint garlic etc 2 get her 2 take them
I feed them to daughter's horse and they help keep the weight on him when he is hunting. He can be quite picky about feed but he really loves his ERS Pellets!
I feed them to 1 of my horses, I choose them not because my mare ties up but because they are high oil and low sugar/starch which is what I perfer to feed
I feed them to the horse I loan, by all accounts she used to tie up fairly badly but since she's been on these we havent had an episode in the past year *touches wood*
I do find I cant feed the amount recommended by D&H though or she does get a bit porky, I have to keep and eye on her.
To be honest, she went through a phase of refusing to eat them, but a splash of diluted peppermint cordial soon sorted that out
