So who else woke up to a txt along the line of "Hi Kerrie, your horse is in my garden"

Yep that was me a 6.10 this morning, wasn't because of the fireworks though! went to check the nags at 7ish, there was people in the houses, just 1 field away, letting off fireworks! they were all chilled out and happy!

So what was the reason for him escaping, oh that would be the electric fence battery stopped working so he got out into the field next door with no gate on it! then took himself for a walk down the lane and into the garden of the bungalow and under her tree! was just happily stood there like there was nothing wrong!

silly ******

That's why I couldn't only have electric fencing up with no containment the other side of it! Had too many horses just roll under it / pull it down somehow or just jump electric fencing so I'd always make sure the field was secure the other side! Maybe need to put a gate up?

I do on 99% of the field apart from on bit that the farmer is "about to fix"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was a gate way but there isn't a gate there now! but has been fine with electric until now!

My Dad is going to fix it this weekend now but haven't done it until now because the farmer has kept saying they will do it! and haven't had a problem until now! they have quickly put the old gate back up in the next door field now! and this gate bit is electrified again now!
