I've just bought some Eskadron Flexisoft jumping boots with sheepskin lining and hoping they won't encourage legs to heat up. From what I've read, the boots regulates temperature and so legs shouldn't get hot an sweaty.
Our children had a lambswool buggy liner and kept them warm in winter and cool in the summer. So, I am hoping this is the case with the boots. Obviously each horse/ pony reacts differently. Our pony can get rubbed a little bit with the Eskadron neoprene lined tendon boots so thought I'd try the sheepskin option.
