Eskadron - How big do their saddlepads come up?

I'm looking at getting an Eskadron cotton saddlepad in dark red but can only find them in full size. Horse is in a 17inch saddle, the lemieux full size pads are an okay size but rub him quite a bit so swapped to the medium size which was a much better fit. What size horse / saddle do people use them with? Thanks!

Plenty of room on my 17.5 jump and 18 dressage saddle.

May be a little big on a 17.

I agree with the above as the full size fits with plenty of room under my daughter's 18" dressage and gp saddles.

Big, I have one which is too big for my 14.3 with a 17.5" saddle. Lemieux and anky are smaller.

I have an Eskadron dressage pad and when I rode in it before it was ever washed it was so deep my instructor made me change it as the saddle pad was barely above the bottom of my stirrups. I asked them to shove it in their industrial washer and dryer at the yard and it shrunk to just the right size now. I have a 17inch saddle. I also have an Eskadron GP pad and that's fine. Both are the full size versions.

I have the same issue OP with the Le Mieux. Much as love them at this time of year when coat changing I do find they rub either side just behind the saddle

That's exactly where mine rubs! It wouldn't be bad but he now has two lovely bald patches. It fits okay, it's just a tad long. My saddle has long flaps and the medium lemieux is just long enough that way

I would say the cotton is comparable to le mieux in size. The big square is bigger, which perhaps was obvious but I hadn't realised it would be bigger. Still ok on my saddle but I use the Full / L LM as well.

I would say in DR cut they come up on the larger size compared to LM, ES etc. Having said that, I've had my Eskadron DR pads under a 16.5 and 17" with no problems.

Far too big on my 13.3/17 inch saddle, fine on my old 17.1 with any size saddle!

I found it a better fit, it's not rubbed yet. Mine doesn't have a particularly long back and the medium looks much nicer. I'll find some pictures of him in the large and then in the medium. If you have long saddle flaps though it may not fit length wise.
