I dont know if anyone went on this ride on Sunday..glorious hunt pleasure ride over the sussex downs around Eastbourne..anyway having done this for the last few years sadly this year was the ride/day from hell..mate with me got bucked off naughty young horse and they had to call the Air ambulance, I had to ride mine and lead hers back the hour and half to the venue and then her horse kicked me in the thigh went I was putting travelling gear on
... anyway mate ended up at Eastbourne hospital but discharged with lots of soft tissue damage to neck and shoulder and I have a nice purple thigh...my post is to say thanks if anyone here was amongst the riders that stopped and offered us assistance in a mobile black hole miles from anyway, to the couple who rode back to the checkpoint and gave up part of their ride to help us and to all the others that showed concern both for my mate and for my predicament with 2 horses miles from the venue..a stressful day not to be repeated but at least I now know my horse and I can do ride and lead!!!!
