Hibiscrub - washing the legs off when brought in from the field

Sudocream - on any slight cuts etc

Vasoline/ nappy cream - I use this as a mud block, so on before they go back out.

Purple spray
Iodine
Black powder

Bandages etc

Thats about it!!...

As above: but also add weird & wacky stuff like

- baby's nappies/sanitary towels (useful as cheap and cheerful, plus sterile) wound dressings - can't have too many especially if you've got a nasty wound or bleed;

- saline spray (got some from the vets ages ago and indispensable)

- a spare plastic syringe or two (again for using with salt water for washing out wounds etc)

- disposable gloves

- purple spray

- Green Oils

- Animalintex (also in human first aid kit!!)

- wound powder

- vet-wrap

gosh, can't remember any other stuff

I would build your own...medical boxes will vary depending on what you do with your horse :)

I have:

Scissors
Vet wrap
Iodine spray (purple spray)
Bandaging
Cotton wool/antiseptic vet version
Sudocrem
A bottle of something which I cant remember the name of which is for settling mild colic (its too late to be remembering long names!)
Disposable gloves
Vet tape
A clean sponge

Only the basics, we tend to share first aid stuff where I am, plus lots of sedatives/pain relief at home yard if there was ever a more serious problem.

It's probably better and cheaper to build your own First Aid Kit plus you gain your own favourite items.

edited: Just seen the price for the Robinson Kit - OMG !! £27 for 5 items !!!!

I generally have
vet wrap -
animalintex poultice
Hibiscrub - buy from chemists - cheaper.
Sudocrem - small cuts , grazes, and using as a sunbloc for pink noses.
Sheep foot rot spray - Iodine (equestrian side labelled as purple spray and x2 in £)
Germoline - cuts and grazes.
nappies for foot poultice etc
Elephant tape - brilliant for keeping foot poutice on !
Roll of Gamgee
Cotton wool
spare syringe for flushing
sicissors
thermometer- digital - easier to read !!
box of latex gloves
metal bowl - easy to keep clean and sterile if needed. - (99p mixing bowl from tescos)
Plastic box - cheap one from Ikea to store it all in.

Oops forgot to add I also have a twitch, one for the nose and not a rope one, the slightly kinder metal one. Is only for an absolute emergency, but if my horse was in a panic and needed treatment immediatly, I would far rather twitch for 10 mins so the vet can safely administer whatever is needed, than risk my horse and those around him being injured :)

and valium for me for when I think about vets bill!!!
I always keep a few sterile washes that you just take off top and can squeeze and direct at a wound...my horse can just give me one go at cleaning something if she wants so I have to be precise! Sterile dressings as well...
Also there is a gel which I use on all her cuts which does not hinder natural healing but keeps it clean and germ free...Vetalintex...brilliant stuff.

mine consists of very strange things haha

manuka honey
vet wrap
gamgee
antiseptic cream
iodine
cotton wall
non stick pads
vasaline
sudacream
syringes
needles
saline
aluminium spray
wound gel
bute

i cant remember everything else but there is a lot but its kinda a collection that i have acquired from the vet :o
