There has been a confirmed case of strangles at a yard in Hornchurch/Upminster. Only one horse at the moment. For anyone who knows where my yard is, it's the yard directly next to mine

nasty! we had a strangles case at our yard last year, a connie colt, strangles looks really nasty!, he's fine now and no-one caught it. my girl also had a strangles test after sharing a grooming kit with a horse that got strangles, yet again, all fine. i dont live near upminster though

so i see you have herd its my stables that has strangles.

i cant believe it really dont want my horses to get it.

the hose that has it has been put right up the lane far as way as possible but he was turned out with our horses all the time grass livery cant believe it

our horses are turned out right near yours at the moment so watch your horses

we had a virus going round a little wyle ago which they thought could be strangles but every swab they took came back negative so when vet was called for this hose we seperated him straight away but thought it was the same thing but shock horror it wasnt

i cant believe it

he hasnt got any lumps as of yet and has nearly finished all his antibiotics just runny nose which has stopped vets did say it ws a mild case but to me strangles is strangles i just cant believe it.

no one really goes out alot ither
 
Oh God yes I forgot you were there Twinkle. I have everything crossed for you that none of yours get it. Hasn't your little one been quite poorly too? Lets just hope that it'll be this one isolated case.

Ours our in at mo as all the fields are soaked, apart from little D and his mate that is. We are due to go back out next weekend, but who knows, maybe we'll hold off a bit.
 
how did you here about it everyone seems to no news travels so fast dont it

i would maybe hold of a bit if i was you he has ben isolated for a week now and results came back yesturday!

so lets just hope there is no more
 
we had virus going round and both of mine got it.

big temp 40C amber had runny nose

both had swabs and they came back clear that was a month ago now.

i think they are both connected but manger seems o not think so (wont tell you my opinion on that but you can tell that im not best impressed with her)
 
Just seen it, thanks JosieJo.

I don't really travel Twiglet much now, but will be aware if any new unknown liveries arrive from the area.

Hope you and yours are all ok!
