I have a lovely 8MO Cob x Filly.
Parents - Dam 14.3 Cob - Sire is a 16.1 Cob X Shire
She's absolutely gorgeous and the kindest little soul, follows me around like a puppy.

She's 12.3 at the moment and I purchased her as she's estimated to hit at least 15hh (they thought closer to 15.2) - I'm 5"8 so need something a bit bigger or i look silly!

I also have a 7 Month old PRE fusion, who is now just 13h to make 15.2

Do cobs grow slower?

Just looking for people with knowledge on foal height estimating!

My 3 ladies below 🥰

Lovely babies! Love the chestnut fluffiness.😍 My filly is 7 months and is 13 hh. She is a connie x warmblood. Mum is a 14.3 warmblood but has much bigger backlines (she was meant to make at least 16 hh!). Sire is a 14.2 connemara. I think mine will make at least 15 hh but I suspect bigger. This mare's previous 2 foals both ended up at 15 hh despite the very different size of the stallions used. Think yours will make 15 hh if she's 12.3 now. But who knows! Someone on this forum said the only thing you can be sure about with youngsters' heights is that they won't get smaller! Your field looks lovely and dry!

I don't really care if she doesn't make 15hh and ends up 14.3 but it would be a nice benchmark to hit!!
My SO is concerned she won't hit it, but I read somewhere that with Cobs/draft types they grow very different. The PRE is super bum high and that little taller at a few weeks younger.

The field is glorious but utterly boggy at the top end, which makes NO sense to me! lower field - dry. Upper field - mud land. 😂😂

Little chestnut has proper feathers now, we've had her exactly 1 month and she's suddenly a fluffy beast! I LOVE it but also HATE having to brush the mud, the other 2 it seems to just glide off, then i'm there trying to get muddy mats of hair out of her haha!!
