Hello hello hello!

Well we took the leap and entered in for the 75 & 85 at arena UK at the weekend. It was Puzzle's first time out SJ and as we havent an arena or anything yet...was his first showjumping course too...chuck him in the deep end much-poor ponio.
However, it surprised us all and has been an absolute angel and tried his heart out :D So so proud of him! In the qualifiers I think we placed 9th in the 75 with 4 faults but ended up with 12 in the 85 so wasn't placed. But by the championships on Sunday he had it all figured out and had a lovely round in the 75 going clear (we were placed but not sure where) but had one down in the 85 (and nearly forgot where number two was!) which was totally my fault and I'm still kicking myself for it because he was just going so perfectly. So proud of him :D So we came home with 2 beautiful rosettes and had a fab weekend out too! Met MandyMoo and fabulous socks and also met Tusc2 who owns one of the most gorgeous horses I've ever met. Well done to you both on cracking rounds :D :D

huge well done to you :D lovely photos - giving the fences plenty of room!!! and it was lovely to meet you as well!

It was a lovely show wasn't it? I hope they do it again next year!!!

Look at the jump on him in the second to last pic! Did you tell him it was a 1m20 class? Haha! Well done, its nice to see a lack of tack and gadgets as well, you both look fab :D

Thanks so much :D Loved your round was so lovely and smart! :D
Apparently they are running it again :D

This photo is hilarious - you can see the thought bubble "Er, she better had remember the course - don't want her messing up my moment of glory" ;)
well done on the great weekend!

Hahahahaha Yes I see it now! :D haha I'm sure that's the way he thinks too! :D Thank you :D

This....just awesome, lovely report :)

Thank you very much! :D He's such a giver and really loves praise and getting it right. It's so tempting to just keep going and hit the higher classes now as he really is so easy, doesn't look at fillers or anything! I want to show him what's expected of him but I really want him to enjoy it and not scare himself so he'll just chill out and do a few dressagings till the winter and then we'll maybe give trailblazers a shot :D
Thanks so much for the lack of gadgets comment. He's just had a new saddle and is so much happier. He's in a single joint snaffle (so much happier in it than when he was in the french link) and is so soft and light in the hand. Just had a telling off for jumping with breastplate/martingale but he really doesn't need it, he never lifts his head high, doesn't pull or anything so would hate for him to feel restricted. He's such a good lad, he's only really been in work properly for 4months but he just picks everything up so quickly. really is a star :)

Well done, I saw you in fact i think i may have spoken to you about the course! He is lovely.

Wasn't it a lovely show and so well run. Took stepdaughter for her last outing unaffiliated and she loved it. Rosettes were beautiful. She came home with a 2nd and 5th on the Saturday and a 3rd and 4th on the Sunday and some lovely prizes as well. Everyone was so friendly. I really hope they run it again

Ohhh he is lovely, what a fab pop he has got on him :biggrin3: Well done :smile3:

Thank you very much :D Yes he was showing quite a bit of scope on some of the fences but on friday he occasionally dropped a leg. But this was his first course so I guess he's still figuring out what he's got to do and everything :D thanks :D

Oh!! :D Who was your daughter riding?
Yeah I really enjoyed, lovely atmosphere and everyone seemed really friendly! :D Well done to your daughter that's really fab!! :D

Oh wow he's absolutely stunning! Well done you :)

Thank you very very much, he is the apple of my eye ;) ha

Well done :-) we did the same classes as you... I had the toddler in the pushchair who LOVED Charlie and kept asking where he was.
Your horse seemed very nice, my boyfriend wanted to pinch him.
(I'm in the line up pic with a blue saddlecloth)

Lovely pictures and lovely horse. I also loved the pic of him looking to the camera thinking "Do you think she knows the course? This could get embarrassing...." (I have a horse who gets embarrassed at me on the (unfortunately fairly regular) time I forget the course!).

Also lovely to see a nice simple turnout without martingales etc. Something we should all aspire to.

She was in the 65 and 75cm pony class. It was very friendly and we had a lovely couple of days there. Though very tiring!! :)

Congrats, he looks lovely :)

The first pic you posted though is an accident waiting to happen

Thanks :)
How so re: accident?

Oh yes I remember you! :D Very smart horse :D haha bless charlie was a good boy too ;)
Aww I will let Puzzle know he is wanted elsewhere then :D hahaha

He looks really great and nicely ridden, well done. I did a double take looking at the pics as you look like my SiL (who doesn't ride!) lol

Thanks very very much :) I was a bit worried once watching the videos that I maybe over rode him with my seat?
Oh I don't think I'm anyones SiL yet :D lol

Ha ha I can actually imagine Puzzle having this thought process bless him :D The courses were actually quite twisty so was surprised I remembered them!

Aw thank you so so much for the turnout comment, it's really lovely to hear that as I did almost feel 'under dressed' as such but he really is such a sweet ride in simple tack there's no point putting anything else on him :)

Yes we were knackered when we got back, think puzzly has spent the past couple of days just sleeping and chilling out with his mares. He'll hack out tomorrow though :)
