Anyone use this as part of there equines routine maintenance?

The Equine Transeva Technique TM (ETT) is a complete technique for the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries in the equine. Precise application of the Winks Greene (WG) Transeva, creates rhythmic faradic muscular contractions that facilitate the identification of muscle dysfunction. Rhythmic muscular contractions closely resemble how a muscle will operate during a voluntary contraction, as a result any area of inefficient movement is revealed. The ETT practitioner is able to pinpoint debilitating muscle movement with a hand held mobile electrode, then utilise the wide ranging pulse of the WG Transeva and its host of physiological benefits, to improve muscular movement and in doing so, relieve discomfort and improve muscular efficiency. ETT takes a common sense approach to fully address any performance matter, assist in the maintenance of the equine athlete and when injury plagues, vastly improve the conditions for healing and a full recovery. Ok I'll go first :)

Fascinating treatment. Basically (and i mean basic) its a handheld electric pulse that runs a current through the horses muscles to see if they are activated and working/ responding as they should. Some muscles where, some blatantly weren't which was crazy to think my horse wasnt using certain muscles in his back and chest. Anyway the treatment was really interesting to watch and gain information and insight into the horses muscles. I had a great time, the horse seems to weirdly love it and just zoned out eating hay (he's a dude anyway)

I will definitely have the lady out again in a months time to see how he is looking and feeling but in the mean time its about lots of hacking and strength building. :)

It has surprised me how this treatment isn't more mainstream. I'd not heard of it until i was watching a regular youtuber i follow and she was having the treatment done on her eventing ponies.

I watched the same Youtuber video as Scotsbadboy, and thought that it sounded like a good fit for my mare. She has 2 KS processes so I haven't been keen to have the physio or chiropractor back as their care is via deep tissue massage and manipulation of joints which she is not comfortable with.
Nikita came to see my horse a few weeks ago and treated the rear 'half'. She is due back in March to complete the front 'half' and thereafter, once my horse is settled with the technique she will do the whole body each time.
I can't say I have seen a miraculous transformation as it is far too early, but she picked up all the 'parts' I knew were a concern and allowed their release and function.
I think it is an interesting treatment and will no doubt increase in prominence as more people hear about it and try it. As with all things, it may not be a good fit for all horses but I believe it is a good release of tight muscles that have gotten that way due to pain resulting in unevenness of gaits.

I was impressed how she picked up things i knew about as well Green Bean. The way he stands seems to already have changed, literally overnight he is going from leaning 'wonky' to make himself 'right' to now standing square at rest, im ridiculously excited by this. She did 'back half' and chest and will do chest and neck next time round.

It was really interesting seeing each muscle being worked independently, or not, and then the way she brought the inactive muscles back online was also really interesting. Very impressed and cant wait to learn more and have her back out in four weeks :)

Sounds interesting. Are there many practicioners in this country?

I couldnt find much on it to be honest, and still looking. It was purely by chance i was watching youtube and she was on an eventers channel treating her horses and the girl mentioned the areas she covered and Buckinghamshire came up which pricked my ears so with a week I'd organised a visit. So glad i did :)

Is it like a TENS machine? I had an ACPAT physio years ago use a TENS machine or something similar (had pads places at each end of the muscles to make them twitch) to check and "unstick" muscles. It seemed pretty effective.

No its a circular disc that sits in the palm of the hand and its manually run over the muscle groups one at a time, the other hand adjusts the strength and frequency of a pack around their waist. They also feel with there finger tips as they hold the 'disc' to pinpoint and adjust as they go.
