I have recently moved to Belgium and have become totally confused by the dressage competition levels they use here. Can anyone explain how L, Z, M etc relates to the normal Prelim to PSG ratings used in the UK and Ireland? Thanks

I know the German levels, and I think maybe they're analogous to the Belgian ones...in German, L (Leicht) is like Elementary, M (Mittelschwer) is like Medium, and S (Schwer) is like Advanced. So I'm guessing the Belgian L, M, and Z correspond to the German L, M, and S. I may be completely barking up the wrong tree though! Do you have tests you can compare to British ones?

Thanks thats a great help, I am thinking of buying a horse over here to compete and at least now I will have an idea of what level it would be at before going to see it.
