I'm looking to get some EVA matting for my horses stable. I can't decide on what thickness to go for. I have found a good price for some 34mm mats. It's been suggested elsewhere that thick mats are too soft and may damage horses legs - any truth to this? I want them for support for my horse who currently has concrete under his bed.

So thoughts and advice please! I've spent so long searching the net that I think I've just confused myself!

I have the 34mm and love them. They are warmer softer and good for when I fall over the fork/brush when mucking out

They are a bit softer and I dont know how well they would do with a shod horse mine is barefoot.

If you get them make sure you leave a good couple of inches around the edge for them to expand and you may have to trim them again after a month (I did) but after that they settle down

Just ordered some 34 EVA matting yesterday. Also have a barefoot horse who is chronic lamintic so she'll need some good padding.

Thanks. My horse has shoes so I'll contact the company first and ask if this would be a problem.
I like the lightness of EVA mats - I've had full rubber mats before and they were awful to move when I spring cleaned the stable!!
