event dressage mark - is it a record?

Our horse Paper Tiger won his pre-novice event at Rodbaston yesterday with Ruth Edge on his 14.3 dressage mark!!! Anyone know if this is the best mark of the year, or anyone know of any better ones? (feeling very smug and a proud moth as we bred him)

Umm I am pretty sure I have seen a 10 somewhere but I dont think it was this year!

I hope you got the test all on video! and there was me pleased with a 23.5 lol

Maybe ring BE office, they should know. Would be interesting to find out anyway.
The frightening thing is that even with a XC stop she would still beat me at the top of my game

That's fantastic, and so you should be very proud and very smug. Was it all 9s and 10s? And what were the comments?

Would you mind posting where your horse is going to be competing next season so that I can make sure I don't go to the same events!

(I did win an advanced class at Belton on a 29 dressage once, and that was with the old marking system, but I bet that was nowhere near a 14.3!!!)

Leslie got an 11 last season in a Novice on Prairie Monarch. Not the nicest of horses (a pain in the arse to handle!!!) but his flatwork was pretty decent... 11 was fairly generous though!

Thanks for all the nice comments! Yes, it is his second 14.x mark this year - and he had an 18 as well, so he has been pretty stunning. I did video his 14 dressage at Auchinleck, but not the one at Rodbaston - I was too busy watching, and it is so difficult to watch and video at the same time. I'm just looking forward to seeing Ruth on him one day in tails - he is going to look Sooo beautiful.

Leslie Law got and 11 a Malpas last year - we were there but double check his BE record for Malpas last year. Looks like you have a little super star there!
