Event Masters live feed from Chatsworth

Fantastic, really enjoying it, looking forward to tomorrow. Loving the live scoring we are seeing at events now and the coverage, have clocked up hours of watching top class eventing over the last month with Rolex Kentucky, Badminton and now Chatsworth.

Yes it's been great. I won't be watching tomorrow, I'm going to watch.

Edited to add, you'll probably see more than me! Can you watch it afterwards anywhere?

Really great to have this coverage. The commentary seems pretty decent (even if the audio's a bit changeable!) and interviews etc. But I swear to god, if I hear the phrase "he's sat ...[lovely/really nicely]" again, I'm going to have a breakdown!

Glad it wasn't just me who got a bit twitchy at that.

Thank god it's Mark Todd and Lucinda Green tomorrow.

I thought they withered a bit and didn't actually commentate on what was in front of them for half the tests. And they looked like they were about to be shot when the camera was focuses on them (don't blame them!.

Haha well they did focus on what was happening perhaps a bit better than the SJ team, who are so busy having a chat they don't even know who's having faults and who's going clear :D

I find it quite entertaining to listen to anyway. I like the stats that were kicking around yesterday and MT's random insights.

XC filming was pretty crap! Rapid panning across landscape made us feel deffo queasy, coupled with views of clouds ? We turned off and watched Windsor which was jolly boring actually! Desperately disappointed as this should have bee a live stream bonus weekend...

It got much better as the day went on, they were clearly testing different angles. I'd imagine Chatsworth isn't the easiest to film. Barbury will be a doddle.

Just back from spectating today. Super event, but the ground was quite testing, and there were some tired looking horses near the end.

Am nursing knackered feet and sunburn!

The Masters concept is a great one. Roll on the next in the series.

Pity there's no red button coverage to catch up with.

Yep, I thought they did really well considering, and it improved massively as it went on. I wish they'd got the sound sorted for Tapner's interview after his xc though - it was bizarrely hilarious watching him trying to pull the French lot off the podium without sound :D Actually, maybe it was more entertaining without the sound. Laurel and Hardy-esque...

It's free to view and gave good coverage and interesting (if not always relevant) commentary. I'm certainly not complaining about a few teething mishaps.

It was lovely to be there - from a medical cover point of view, nothing too scary, which is always good, and nothing I heard of horse wise that was nasty either - also a massive plus for me. Ground was patchy - some good, some a bit boggy and sticky, but they did well given that I saw several massive marks from stuck vehicles ! I liked the arena eventing bit - new this year, and something different for people to watch. All in all - nice :)

It was lovely, we just got back. I liked the masters bit, but it overshadowed the rest a bit.

Oli was really lucky to escape his nasty fall from Sam. Luckily he kept rolling down the hil before the horse properly landed on him. Glad to see them both get up.

Gutted for Kitty, all three phases looked wonderful. Was it just the start box? That's what a fence judge told us.

Hadn't realised Oli had a fall.

I watched Kitty's round online - they didn't show any start box issues, unless I missed it, and then she didn't push for time. She'd said in a pre round interview that it was about giving the horse a good run, not hammering for the sake of money, or words to that effect.

What happened to Nicola W and Bulana?

:eek3: That sounds a bit frightening.

She didn't look like she was pushing him on course, so quite possibly no issues at the start. They didn't show it on the live feed though so who knows?

Kitty doesn't need to run the horse into the ground, he is young still. I heard he had a bit of a meltdown at the start but didn't see it, was headed home by then. Classy classy horse.

Izzy horse was impressive in the SJ but didn't start xc

Oh quite - there was no criticism in my comment about not pushing him, just observation. What the devil would I know anyway? :p He really is classy and she's not half bad either!
