Event photographer - disappointed and a bit cross...

My OH took my boy to a show at the end of June this year, did his class and won it (V proud -
grin.gif
) and the show photographer took some lovely photos of them which I saved in 'My favourites' on their website, intending to purchase 2 of them for OH for Xmas. Looked on their website 3 weeks ago to find that photos are no longer there, just some codes, from which I am unable to tell whether they are the show OH went to or the dressage I went to. Anyway cutting long story short, they won't tell me which ones are which and want to charge me £15 to upload them on their website again. All I want to do is place my order with them but they are adamant they are going to charge this £15 upload fee. They told me they don't keep the pics up for more than a couple of months but there is nothing on their website stating this, and the show is still in their events list. I want to spend about £45 with them but they now will not return my calls or e-mails. Am a bit miffed but really want the pics. Am I being a grumpy old bag or should I stand my ground over the £15??

More to the point how am I going to get the pics if they won't speak to me (ETS have been ultra polite in all correspondence with them and feel it unprofessional of them to be ignoring me!!)
 
That sucks .. it takes all of 3 secs tro upload pics.... money grabbing so and so's!!

However if you want these pics looks like you are going to have to bite the bullet and pay.... or buy all the pics from just the codes!!
 
Would they be willing to refund the £15 fee if you actually purchased some photo's after they have uploaded them? That would seem like a fair deal to me.
 
What clap trap, It costs me nothing to upload my images, I keep them up for 3 months and have had people contact me afterwards and all I do is host the thumbnails again for them to choose from, just takes a few minutes of my time and I get a happy customer.

£15! what are they a bank! lol
 
Did you save each picture in to fav

Does each pictures have a diff file name?

Maybe if it does you can just give them the number of the picture.

Each pictures on our site will have diff number etc

To be honest we would bend over backward to help you to find your pictures and then we often throw in another picture if you order loads and have a big order.

Rediculous people!

The chap thats takes most of Rosiies pics out hunting came to our opening Meet last year. There was a few pics I liked. When I could afford to order them he had removed them from his website.
I emailed him about the ones I wanted & he re put them up on his website for me to order. he could not of been more helpful for me.
Shame these people are not doing the same for you.
 
Could the event organisers help in any way? They might not be too impressed with one of the suppliers there acting in this manner?

tip for next time though - copy the proofs you like into word and caption them with the file name so you have a visual reference when you come to order.
 
Sorry I wouldnt spend a penny with them after that! How rude!

I know the photos are special but there's bound to be more shows that are just as special

Otherwise can you try and see if there is anyway they can fathom what photo is what from the codes that you have? Surely they have some kind of reference ?? But personally I would tell them where to go and inform the show organiser how bad they are!
 
Thats just a rubbish admin charge.

Will they knock off the money if you place an order, it wont take them 5 mins to send you the thumbnails...........

Hardly the best way fo building customer loyalty is it!!!!!!!
