This is just so terrible, especially after that man of 62 was killed a week or so back.

WHY do people die? Fall off yes, get rolled on yes, break bones, yes, but die?

My horse hit rails out hunting and fell on me and I broke my ribs, but we both survived. Jockeys fall off racing, but they very rarely are killed (even if an ambulance does follow them round.)

Maybe the answer is because hunting and racing horse and rider are going that much faster? they just roll over rather then fall with full weight straight onto rider and then not move? I dont really know.
