Having had a good summer and after managing to get some confidence in my jumping ability back, I have decided to take the plunge and enter an Eventer Challenge next month (form completed, cheque written, envelope on side to be posted in the morning!?)

Anyway, I have the following questions and would appreciate your help...

1) I have no event boots for my horse, I do have open fronted tendon and fetlock boots (always used when showjumping) and I have two sets of brushing boots and overreach boots (used when lungeing), should I use any of these or should I get event boots and if so, which ones would you recommend (don't want to spend a fortune at this stage!)

2) Is it correct to wear xc colours? I know I have to wear a body protector and correct hat plus medical card.

Thank you for reading... All answers greatly appreciated :) x

1) if its a course of SJ followed by XC style jumps I would wear my normal SJ boots as they have a bit more protection than plain brushing boots

2) any I have been to have always been XC colours and compulsory body protector so I would say XC colours :)

Good luck and have fun :biggrin3:

These things tend to run with a wide variety of formats and rules, some with, some without dressage, some time the SJ, some the XC, in some you go straight from one section to another, in others they are separate.

What I am trying to say is that you should check with the venue re rules and dress code.

SJ boots should be perfectly adequate.
