What did you think of the course?

Haven't been to this eventer trial for some time, and found the course quite tricky, some interesting turns, still enjoyed it but horse was sticky and never really got going.

Last time I went (Oct 07) the whole thing flowed much more and you could really encourage the horse forward and get a good rhythm.

Anyone else go regularly - how does course compare?

I didn't go but just checked results and my old pony came 2nd in the 1 metre yey

I've heard it is normally quite tricky-especially not to get time faults.

There were definitely some tricky lines. But all the fences were pretty straightforward really, I've seen much more 'scary' stuff at other eventer trials like Addington and Towerlands. There were no water trays at all for example, which is quite surprising. So the lines being difficult is what made it a bit more of a challenge I suppose.
A good few fell off trying to put in a left turn after the stile though - maybe that one was a bit too much of an 'ask'.

I thought it was certainly worthwhile going though - it was the first time my youngster had seen any of that sort of thing and she was a superstar

Yeah, we took 2 to do the last 1.10 class.

OK derssage, pony had 1 down, and made the turn look very straightforward and easy, bit of a cock up with the new horse, which we sorted out today, all to do with how the rider rode the corner, rather than the jump!

Did think the course was a bit tricky this time, it always amazes me how the fit all the jumps in to the arena.
