Please can someone explain to me how an eventer trial works?

Do you do the showjumping round and then immediately do the x country round after?

It is exactly that. Fastest time wins normally. as you get time penalties for knock downs etc

Thank you, i have entered one on sunday and suddenly realised i wasn't entirely sure how it worked!
