Hi.
Im a show jumper and recently decided for a bit of a change id give a small event horse qualifer for the Royal Dublin Show a go. Anyways to cut a long story short I ended up coming 2nd and qualified for Dublin. Now as dublin nears the nerves are setting in so im writing to ask for some advice on how to ride my bogey fence...the dreaded skinnys lol ive watched a few videos of pervious years in dublin are they are fond of their skinnys...esp into water.
Any advice on how to ride these fences will be much appreciated :)

You ride them like your legs are squeezing a tube of toothpaste aiming at the skinny, worry not about your stride just direct squeeze and go ...... Good luck sounds fab fun

look past the fence at a fixed point as soon as possible and ride as if your life depends on it!

build them in your school and ride them every day/every other dya, just pop in after a hack and over a skinny. He'll get the idea!

See if you can if you can find the lucinda green pet plan clinic which is showing atm..she has a session on training a horse to jump skinnies and its on horse and country..
