Eventers Challenge today

[Molineux]

Today I went to an Eventers Challenge nr Reading at Hall Place.
Which is where you do your dressage test, then change tack or what ever and then do 5 SJ's jump straight into the XC fences, in which there was 8 and then jump back in and do a further 7 SJ's.

Dressage I HATE DRESSAGE! We did Novice 26 today and got 62% however we of got more if I had not gone wrong TWICE!!!!!

I went wrong the first time, in which the Judge got out her car and told me where I went and wrong, so went and did again and did it wrong AGAIN! FFS! My mind just went blank!!
However after all that, I got it right the whole way through!
Got a nice 8 again for my halt

and overall comment was,
'' You got there in the end''!! Nicely ridden and well done!
At the end the dressage judge said go and get a nice glass of wine LOL

!!

Onto the SJ and XC fences were around 3ft, there were some quite small fences and others were an ok height.. Nothing really beefy

- It was FAB!! we did a great clear, went and did all the XC fences, there was a water trough we had to jump which Ren had a look at, however quick smack and he was back with me!

Back it to the SJ and we did the rest clear, so we had a great time jumping

!! The feel he gives me Jumping is just great! We have such a connection together now its great

Did not get placed due to my dressage score

Teach me for going wrong

Never mind had a great day, and come home with a fantastic photo!

Well done, at least you can easily improve your dressage score by not going wrong in future!

Glad you had a good day- I run Hall Place so you prob saw me!
Everyone seemed to really enjoy it. We kept the XC small as the ground had been so wet running up to the day so we thought we had better keep it on the small side for safety.

Ahh I see!! Where were you!! me and friend were the last two to go in the last section. (I think you were all waiting for us LOL!)

Yes really enjoyed it.

I thought the ground was quite hard in some places, the SJ was fine, but coming into the tyre jump and a few others the ground was quite un-even and very hard

Shame we could not go into the woods, but I did walk down there and that was quite wet

!!

I hate dressage too, with passion. Luckily the Eventers Challenges near us don't have a dressage phase he he!

both of my friends did that yesterday, one came 3rd and qualified for eventers challenge and she has never even done dressage before!! The other came 6th but cocked up her dressage test twice and had some jumps down but luckily clawed back some marks on the rest of the dressage, loads of 8's!!

Was very good fun apparently!!
