Cant decide if I think my mare needs a little more weight or not, last yr she only dressaged so she looked much bigger than this, so Im struggling to tell?

Thanks

I think she is spot on weight wise a bit more muscle over the hind quarters will look even better but that will come with the work.

She looks about the same as my little one weight wise. I am happy with his weight at this point although for him I have recently added some baileys no1 in as a bit of extra conditioning feed but this is only because he is at a yard atm where the grass is liable to run out by early summer and last year he ran up a bit light by august! So I am laying a foundation now this year (or thats the theory anyway!)
She looks spot on to me and if you know she holds her condition well through the season I don't think you would need to change anything!

Thanks, she tends to look quite light the few days after an event but then puts in on quickly! Im worrying a bit more as she has just been diagnosed with Ulcers 2 weeks ago (she doesnt really look like a Ulcer horse)!!! She defo feeling well, she tried to kill me several times this morning!

Yep I would say looking right for this time of year. I would agree that she needs a bit more muscle but that will come :)

I wish I could get mine looking that slim - she is like me - fit but a bit fat!
Agree with the others that she is about spot on but yes, could probably have a bit more muscle or 'tone' which will come with what you're doing with her.
Hope you have a good time at keysoe on sat, pity as I was there last week but not this. Going was surprisingly good and we had a lovely time. They have updated a few of the PN fences to look a bit nicer, like the coffin and the 2 steps up (ditch filled in there).
Have fun!

I'm sure I'll have fun, I've got to get over the corner and triple brush! She is more than capable bit she needs me to be sure! Although she is feeling exceptionally well at the mo, getting to the start box Sunday was fun! I think she was remembered what x-c is! Jul are u be-ing with yours this yr?

totally agree with S_J. she looks a nice type. you don't want them over-topped for eventing, extra weight is extra strain on tendons, ligaments etc etc.

she looks lovely the muscle will come with work, perfect weight to produce good muscle tone in correct places!!! dont worry!!!!!

ditto that K and underline it 4 times!!!!!!!! common sense really!!!!

Didn't see a PN triple brush - there was one in the schooling area but I'm sure it was a Nov one, too big for PN (have jumped them so I know roughly what they look like PN).
I'm sure it must have been hiding somewhere.
Corner is a bit strong for PN - the old PN one is now in the Intro so I presume the PN one is the old Nov? However, she doesn't know that and to her it would look just the same! So don't tell her and ride positively and she'll jump it fine :)

Not sure re BE-ing mine, the jury's still out on that one. Currently enjoying schooling, clinics etc.

Just checked on the web site and a double brush is PN, and triple is N!!! Exactley Im going to grow some balls and get on with it!!! I have warned my instructor that he needs to bring his hat just in case!!
