Eventers - Hutton cancelled

Gutted!!! Was going to be my first BE100!!! The rain has been dreadful though and the forecast shows no let up!! What happens to your entry fee do you have to claim it back or do they credit you? ta vix

It should come back to you automatically minus the abandonment insurance - can take a few weeks though.
 
ok Thanks..........might be able to get into Kelsall!!! Anyone know what the ground is like there? Might be better option than Aske??? x Psyched myself up now to do a 100!
 
Such a pity for the organisers, this has always been one of my favourite events since that first year when they ran twice over September/October and both were gloriously sunny!

I sincerely hope their run of bad luck does not put them off when it comes to thinking about the 2012 season.
 
Poo :( was really looking forward to going to watch! It was looking that way though so at least they've cancelled earlier than later. Must be very disappointing for the organisers having to cancel 3 days this year though.

For those interested I went down to Kelsall for the PC Champs a few weeks ago and the ground held up very well despite rain all weekend :), I only did the 90 course but it's a lovely course and would recommend it.

Zero I think. They are saying cancelled rather than postponed. If they moved it back a week it would clash with Turnberry and Allerton (so probably not allowed) the following week is Aske (same organisers so a no go) then after that definitely too late for Cumbrian climate :(

Yes so disappointing for the organisers :( Rotten luck!

Have just entered Kelsall in preference to Aske. The forecast does not look great at least in the short term and decided it may be the better bet ground wise. Fingers crossed!
