Hopefully once pony is fixed I'm in the look out for a new jump saddle. I've had the bates momentum which I have loved but it no longer fits her and we will need something we can adjust a bit more than cair panels.

So.....with a huge choice out there I thought I would start here - which jump saddle do you use and why??

Thankyou!

Not sure I'm classed as an eventer anymore,as not done BE for several years. However I use and have always used one saddle for everything and that's an Excelle event. Lovely saddle that's I can dressage, hack and jump in and seems to fit a variety of horses.

Doesn't have large blocks though as I have long legs and they always seem to get in the way but has a nice large panels.

Ideal impala pro

really like them -it's monoflap and my position seems much better in it - I use it for everything - seem to fit a lot, both mine have one

It was only saddle that wasn't £££ that fit my long legs!

I have an Ideal Impala Pro. It's a monoflap which I love, the horse moves and jumps very very well in it and it fits me as well. I did have an Albion K2. Lovely but I'm very long through my hip to knee and it didn't fit me well at all.

I love the look of the ideal impala pro but if it suits you ladies with lovely long legs it probably wont be any good for me - Im 5'1!

Had a sit on an albion kontrol at a tradestand today which I quite liked....they are heavy though!!

The impala pro wasnt forward enough in the leg for me. I now have a Albion kontact lite

I have a Prestige Paris K which is mono flap.
I bought this one as the tree is heat adjustable, meaning I can change it if I need to/change horses. (Costs about £50)
Very comfy, right size knee/thigh blocks and they hold their value well if selling on.
I was also looking at an ideal impala but never actually saw/sat on one

Al has an Albion Legend XC saddle on Reg- we thought it didn't fit Reg, but further investigation showed it might be overflocked and causing issues from that, as it looks like a perfect fit... Al loves it, it's very forwards cut with a flat seat so she doesn't get a kick up the bum on landing :D

I'd love to try a butet but don't have butet money unfortunately!

I sat in a prestige on a trade stand and very much likes that although our saddle fitter would prefer us to go for wool flocked.

Surprisingly the saddle I was most interested to sit in was the barnsby extreem/ liberte but actually found I didn't like the feel of it althought I guess it's different when sat on a horse.....

I loved my Amerigo Vega monoflap special jump saddle - very good for those of us with stumpy pins, kept you in such a well balanced and secure position.

Wot bout Black Country? They can do so many alterations etc its almost like its built round rider (obv if u r buying new!)
I looked at Butets at badders were so so pretty but didn't dare sit in 1 cos I new I'd b whacking out the credit card in seconds ;)

I have this exact same saddle too. I am quite short if that helps you OP! Puts you in a lovely position.
