I'd like to get a set of eventing boots for my TB this season but I'm also hoping to take him drag hunting in the winter. Can anyone recommend a sturdy set of event boots that would double up as hunting boots? The drag is quite fast and furious so they need to be up to the job! Thank you!

Dalmar boots from Ireland are the preferrred choice , they are very light have cooling technology to help keep the tendons cool whilst in use and are v easy to look after .

they also have a carbon fibre anti strike protection as well as great fetlock protection

premier equines are very good
ive got both air cooled and extremes, and both are fab. fit well, wash well, protect well and very good value for money
i also have prolites, which are good, but expensive and the hinds (i find, although i know ppl disagree) dont fit that well
personally i think its PE's all the way

the clarendon eventing boots are great, incredibly tough with plenty of cushioning and dont shift although they are a little pricey they do seem to really last.

the clarendon ones that are sheepskin lined have really gone out of favour though, the recent thinking by vets is that if the tendons overheat then they can start becoming more susceptible to injury, and clarendons must be some of the 'hottest' boots there are.

Prolites, prem equine or NEW are the only ones that dont rub and have good tendon guards i have found. love Goddy's Prolites, and he wears them hunting too.
