Eventing death in Austria

61-year old Franz Graf, who was a very experienced rider with previous world cup qualifications, died at an event in Austria after his horse landed on top of him.

Very sad.

Gosh, not another one. WHAT is happening.

I used to event, years ago. It was only Novice, Intermediate and Advanced in those days. But I can't remember many accidents.
Bad falls, yes, including Sheila Wilcox who broke her back, but I can't remember anyone getting killed. We didn't even have back protectors in those days.

Oh god not another one

that has actually made me cry. I was so hoping this year would bring better fortune on the eventing community but it looks to be following the same tracks as last year
