Eventing Euros Third Weekend of Sept Plans

Awww the babies look like they're bonding 🥰
The babies like each other a lot.
Mum laid down the rules straight away and said she was boss and now seems mostly accepting of Sassy as long as there's no resource that needs guarding (i.e. me!) around.
Aunty Old Lady is having none of it. I thought she'd be the easiest, but she doesn't like Sassy being near Pippin.

I wasn't planning on putting them all together so soon. I wanted to keep them in neighbouring paddocks for a bit before doing gradual introductions, but Sassy looked like she might try to go through the fence when the others moved away, so I decided to let her in with them. The mares aren't intent on killing her (no cornering and beating her up behaviour) and she's intelligent and fast enough to move away when they threaten her. She's sort of on the outskirts of the herd and gradually approaching and being let closer. It was kind of cute to watch Pippin stay between Sassy and Old Lady this afternoon, keeping his new friend safe from his overprotective aunt.

Ooh enjoy your show! Yes I think that's called aphantasia and it seems to be not uncommon. I can just about do mental images and I can talk other people through imagery work but struggled to apply it for myself. We came up with a script in the session which I then recorded myself reading out, then just played it back loads of times.

Pics time!
