eventing girth anyone ??

can anyone help please ?
I have an elasticated girth (normal) with a elastic and extra set of buckles each side for an overgirth but I can't find an overgirth anywhere to fit it they all are designed to go right round the horse not attch to the girth !! Can anyone help ?? :0(

Sounds like you have a Devoucoux girth??? i.e. it has an extra strap on the outside?? if it's the one i'm thinking about, it's designed to fit a devoucoux saddle, and not for an overgirth.. therefore you wont find an overgirth to fit it...

I could be wrong, as i don't really understand what you describing..

if the extra set of buckles is smaller and in the middle of the other two, then i think it's to take the spare tongue that a lot of older dressage saddles had at the bottom of the flap, to hold the flap still.
there would be no point in having an overgirth that didn't go all the way around the horse, independent of everything else, i think...

yep its the devoucoux one, thanks very much not to worry i'l have it removed and just use the girth !!! Thanks very much !!
