Eventing in France

Hi, please could anyone tell me about eventing in France? I have been on the website (www.ffe.com) and have found out where events are held, but can't find out what sort of levels they have. I can see 1* and upwards, but presumably they have PN/Novice events too. A move out there may be on the cards, so I would plan to take horse and would like to event at PN/novice, as I would do here. Any pointers would be very gratefully received, thank you!

Hello, not sure which part you are considering moving to, In our area, sw,there isnt much cce, more Endurance and jumping.Perhaps you could look on English forums over here like Total France or Equine on line.I do believe it depends on where you are locating to,best of luck

There is plenty of eventing all over France although it is not as popular as showjumping. Your first port of call will be the FFE website, Federation Francais d'Equitation, www.ffe.com as they are the governing body of all equestrian disciplines in France and they list and regulate all competitions. Do you speak french as if not it will be difficult to navigate the website and you will need to find a helpful bi-lingual horsey person to guide you through.
