Is it worth it? Can't get it locally so am considering taking out a subscription but wondering how worthwhile it is and whether it is basically just reports/results.... what do you lot think?

It's nowhere near as good as it once was.

During the middle of the season it's more reports and results (of all levels) and it covers the 3* and 4* far better than H&H ever does. But they always have articles of some form, usually relating to debates currently going on so the latest issue is discussing the affiliated/unaffiliated debate, sponsorship deals etc etc.

The news and gossip columns are good too. And Daisy Dick's column is fab (yay for her doing it for 2010 too!)

Have to admit I was sceptical about getting it at first, but I absolutely love it! News. gossip, Daisy Dicks's diary and the rider's home bit are my great!!

Hate the new design they've recently introduced to the magazine, though. Looks dated and cheap.

I've been buying it since about 1993 . Hate the new design too - paper seems cheap & the staples keep falling out

Disappointed that Daisy is still doing the diary - nothing against her - but her sense of humour & mine are not compatible

I like it especially Daisy's diary and the news/gossip bits at the front. The event reports are very good, and thankfully are lacking the strange pie charts and diagrams which aflict the H&H reports of the major events.

Also like the through the keyhole bit (if it is a rider I've heard of and not an event organiser I haven't heard of) and the instruction (but not this months as the rider was only jumping crosspoles) if the pupil is at a reasonable level.

I get H&H and Eventing at the moment, but am seriously thinking dropping the H&H and just keeping the Eventing sub.
