I thought that all classes had to run at the same ratios?

At Belmont there are 7 intro sections, 4 PN and 3 novice and yet there were 64 balloted for PN.

No intro has been balloted? This makes no sense at all to me?
Surely the Intro and PN should run equal numbers of sections at the very least After all there is enough to make up two more sections of PN.

Can someone explain how this works?

hhmm doesnt really make sense to me either.. I suppose it depends what day they are running?? If they have a full day of intro then enough time for 7 sections...yet the other day of competition is made up of two classes so has to be split

maybe its the number runners???

I guess they are doing a full day of Intro and splitting one day for PN and novice. In one day they can fit 7 sections.
I would be very peed if I was balloted from PN though.

shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... snap

its up to each organiser how many intro or PN classes they got
Intro's always get the most entries and also full first and balloted, sometimes an event runs Intro,PN and Novice over 2 days.
