I have a 15.1hh mare that i'm looking to breed with a top event stallion. She is TB x ID by Band Master and evented to novice level, has a lovely temperament and nice but average paces and has a neat jump. I have been looking at thoroughbreds, open to any suggestions and needing some help on what to look at. Millie's limit was novice so looking for something with more power and blood to breed with

I used Royaldik on my ID x tB ( 3/4 id). He has added movement and blood. I know of one other by him and I'm told she's very similar to mine, great presence and beautiful paces. Whether they will make top event horses who knows as mines only 4 but she is looking good at the minute.

shes standing about 16.1 and her dam was 15.2 so added height too.

Have a look at Sula Blue, I like the look of him if your looking for a full TB. The other that impressed me at the stallion show was springs spirit. I've met one of his, and she's lovely. Very bold and takes everything in her stride. However, he is young, so not what you'd class as a top event stallion yet !

Top event stallion - Chilli Morning ?

Thanks. Ye i've had my eye on Sula Blue as an option!! i've also been looking at Weston Justice and Revolution, any opinions on either of those?

Love Revolution's babies. seen quite a lot of his foals at the BEF Futurity and they are nice movers, bold without being pushy.

I have a super little 4yr old by Weston Justice. She is bold, straight and great fun to work with, but a little sensitive (she is nearly full TB so nothing more than you'd expect)
She moves nicely (not big or flashy but athletic and correct) and really jumps. I like her so much I've got a 3 yr old coming in the summer by him too. They are generally about 16hh and they are very bold and careful jumpers

Ok so i am now thinking it's between Weston Justice, Primitive Faerie Tale and Revolution

All good stallions, Weston Justice the most proven both himself and his progeny.
Weston Justice is frozen only but it's good quality.
Revolution is also frozen only and Primitive Faerie tale is chilled in case you have limitations on what type of semen you can use

Thank you! :)

Weston Justice's stock are up there proving themselves now. Some at 3* and aiming for 4* now. They seem to have enough ability for professionals and easy enough for more amateur riders too.

So we have been told because Weston Justice has retired you only get 2 go's and no live foal guarantee. The mare took 3 times the first time! but i've heard lots of people say it's usually easier the 2nd time? She's in good condition and the stud we're planning on using to do AI is very good, thoughts on taking the risk and hoping she gets in foal or looking at something else?
