Has anyone got any they can recomend?
Not exactly to learn loads from, but just something that's enjoyable to watch and pick up a few tips or remember some forgotten lessons along the way..

I've not got any, and fancy something.. was looking through the Derby House cat. and all they've got that look any good are 3 different Pippa Funnell DVD'd.. 1) The Funnell Factor.. 2) Pippa Funnell, the Road to the Top.. 3) Pippa Funnell, Good Foundations, Flatwork and Jumping...
They also have a DVD called "Dressage for Jumping" by Richard Davidson and John and Robert Whitaker..
There's also "Show Jumping" Vol. 1 vol. 2 and vol. 3 by Tim Stockdale...

Obviously i'm not limited to what Derby House has to offer, i was just looking in there as they seem to have most things.. if anything i'm limited to what 'ebay' has to offer haha...

Anyway.. ideas???

as mrs funnell seems to be as disgustingly winning as ever probably just as well stick with her. she is in the lead at PAVO already!

Yeah, well without wishing to post company names.. i'm never setting foot in that saddlery shop ever again!!! And am spreading the word to all my friends to do the same!! Total rip-off shop!! (If you're talking about the one in SM town?)

Lol umm watched one of hers think it was funnell factor thought it wuite funny, learned a bit about the flatwork and enjoyed it.

L do you know where I can see PAVO results? do you know who is leading the 4 yo and 6 y sections?

Haha, 5 wins at Charlton Park rather makes one want to stick ones fingers down ones throat..

haha
Interesting fact.. Pippa has had more wins this season than she did in either '05 or '06.. yet this has been her 'quiet' season.. ok this seasons wins have been at PN/N, but a wins a win

have to say The Funnell Factor is a brill dvd, especially the bit where Will takes the piss out of her

It's worth it just for that
grin.gif
but does have some good bits in

blimey saw that results, those young ones she thought so highly all look like they are on good form lol. All her horses seem to be going better this season aswell.

Looking at WFPs record this season- he must have had 30 wins at least!

I had a series bought for me which I loved, but I can't remember what it was called (they're packed away).

Had Bettina H, Peter Thomsen, Mary King e.t.c in it.

have you had a look on Amazon?

No.. I don't mind where i buy a DVD from (apart from the local saddlery, which i wont be setting foot in again).. I just want to know which is the best/most funny/informative DVD to buy..

Sounds like 'Funnell Factor' is winning so far.

The 4yo's haven't started yet, they do everything tomorrow. In the 6yo's Bumble Thomas and PF are pretty much neck and neck I think quite a way in front of the rest of us mere mortals. We do xc tomorrow morning. Half the 5yo's did their dressage today, with the rest of them tomorrow.

sorry meant 5YO's and 6YO's?
You don't know who was leading them?
Good luck TE!! did you dressage today?
Will be interesting to see if PF's one wins again.

Don't know for the 5yo's but there were some extremely classy animals in it. Their course looks really challenging for a PN, which I think is a good thing, but maybe not if they leave it like that for the normal PN at the weekend! There seem to be loads of Primitive Rising's across the classes.

The funnell factor is fun, and makes me giggle.
The foundations is quite good, but a little boring, but it does help with just flagging up things to remember when riding on your own.
Tim stockdales are good, really enjoyed them as they are straightforward and easy to understand - really helped me when i was having a confidence crisis with strides etc.
Dressage for jumping is a little boring, but nice to see the whitakers getting it wrong.
I have a really old Ginny Elliot one which is good, and i think the Lucinda Green one is good too but i dont have that just watched it round a mates house.

Tigers_eye, good luck today.
Those 5 year olds might be classy this year, but i wonder how many will make it to be classy 6 year olds next year.

Just curious MDM but what has said saddle shop done? We don't often use them but have in the past. Would NEVER have them for fitting saddles though

My smart boots that i event/dressage in, have a zip up the back, which needed replacing.. they put in a huge zip and didn't even bother to put it under the lining of the boot, also the stiching was only slightly better than a drunk 10yr old child could have done by hand.. they charged me £20 for my smart leather boots to be turned into a bad fitting, falling apart, saggy mess!!!
I then took them to the cobblers up the road, who said he was forever having to fix mistakes from that shop! and charged me £12 to do a proper smart job!!!

They are yet to say sorry or offer me my money back!!
As if it wern't for the cobblers up the road, they would have ruined a £400 pair of boots to become worthless!!

It was a good job HHO was down when i picked those boots up, as i was going to let the whole world know, and obviously admin would have told me that it was against the T&C's haha, and given me a slapped wrist
