Eventing Worldwide

I'm not loving the new site, though
frown.gif
Keeps repeatedly asking for me to log in even when I already have eg to view videos, or today when I switched from one photo gallery at the Europeans to another
mad.gif
Also all those questions you have to answer to get in - I understand the reasoning but the list of original questions was too long and too obscure and now I can't remember what answers I gave so I keep getting them wrong: eg Which is your favourite event? Changes according to my mood... And today I couldn't remember which horse I said I'd like to own (said Lenamore but it turned out to be wrong
crazy.gif
But I WOULD like to own him

)

I thought that too....i can't remember the answers i gave before!! Not i want to log on to view course pictures of Tweseldown earlier on in year, but it won't allow me to log on, and i don't want to pay another £50 just to view them!!

I haven't had the repeated log in thing, but I am really struggling with those questions too! I suppose it had to be long and obscure to work really though, didn't it, otherwise people could have told friends etc and we'd be back to where we were before. We were warned if password sharing carried on then they'd take more draconian measures....
frown.gif

I have to confess though, I am PMSL at the fact that you think it should be able to read your mind and deal with the fact that there is more than one top horse you'd like to own, and today is the turn of grey horses!!

I took a screen shot of my answers and just open it when I log in which is a pain or the other thing you could do is just put a question mark or symbol for all of them, it defeats the object slightly but so long as you don't tell anyone I don't think it really matters.

Not just me then! I get the repeated log in thing 'you are not authorised to view this gallery'... even when logged in (is there some sort of VIP membership I'm not part of?
confused.gif
) and have similar memory failure with my questions. The factual ones (maiden name, school etc.) are all right, it's the subjective ones I can't get the same every time
frown.gif

And you used to be able to type a name into the archive thingy and see all references/photos to that particular rider. I don't think you can anymore or at least, if you can I don't know how
frown.gif

I'm down with this moan - I have to sneak around enough to view at work, the last thing I need is to log in every time I view a new article etc! And I also took a screen shot of the multiple Q answers, no way I could recall that lot!!!

I can never remember the answers, but mine just keeps going through until I get to one of the factual ones!!
Rosiefan - you can still do the search if you go into the archives I think, I definitely got some sort of search to work the other day.

Chaps, you are bonkers! I couldn't possibly remember the answers/passwords to all those questions so I put the same answer for everything (which is the same as my password). Simple solution for someone who can't even remember her own postcode sometimes..

Ask me a question and I try and give you an honest answer - trouble is, it might not be the same one tomorrow as it was today

In response to your comments about the new log in questions, we have taken two of the more subjective ones out of the list. There have been some faulty links over the last 10 days, to which I hold up my hand – the weekend before Fontainebleu I tried to get new content linked while drugged to the eyeballs after an allergic reaction, and in France, the press tent WiFi was intermittent at times which affected the uploads. The searches do still work – and if anyone has forgotten their answers, all they have to do is email me and I will happily send them out. Also, please email me if you find things that don’t work, it’s the quickest way to getting something fixed - hilary@eventingworldwide.com

Sorry, but potentially fatal allergic reactions are simply NOT a good enough excuse

Naturally we expect service to be 100% all of the time, no illness allowed!

Glad you are recovering and that normal service is resumed. RosieFan - I've never tried to search but I'll have a look and write some instructions if that would help?

It's ok thanks SC,I had another look and found that I could. I think maybe I tried in the very early days of the refurbed site and either I was being particularly daft (quite likely) or the search facility hadn't gone live.
Thanks for responding Hilary - still love EWW

I find that once i am logged in and try and open a new article it says im logged out then i have re-do this several times before getting anywhere.

On a positive note can I say that I love being able to look through the photo galleries with just a flick of a button

All those people having trouble with the log in - are you sure your computer is recognising EWW as a safe site and doing the things it does with cookies properly? Just seems odd that it is only a few people and not everyone having this problem, and I've just remembered I had a similar issue with a different (and much more boring work related site) and had to clear my cookies and also change the settings on the computer. Of course when I say I, what I mean is the OH....
