Ever fall in love with horse ad, even when horse is totally bizarre choice?

Oh goodness, stop talking, all of you! :p

Alas, we definitely do not have the space and I have no money. I am due some inheritance money soon but the other horses are kept on my parents land and they fund everything, so they would have a fit if I bought a pony! It really wouldn't be fair on them... we already have mine (who is at least rideable), my Mum's appy who we bought Nov 2010 and she hasn't ridden once (we are now 10 months on from surgery for bone spavin and he's still lame), one of my childhood ponies who is retired and cheeky and then a naughty shetty (unbroken). I think a 5th on our limited acreage would be disastrous...

But I do love him! Can't one of you buy him and then let me have the occasional bumble? Go on, you know you want to...

Fell in love with a little greys advert, wasnt really looking at getting another but, he was just so lovely, went to go see him-

It's fate - your mum could ride him too! :D

Yes! Definitely...

I went looking for a 17hh 4 or 5 year old gelding.

Saw a picture of a supposedly 16hh 3 year old Appy Blanket Spot mare. Knew as soon as I saw her that I'd buy her. She came home a week later :D

I love him so much it actually hurts. I've never brought on a foal before so it would be an insane choice but I want to buy him almost every day. If you tell me you'll help me through the process I'll totally go for it. :p Lunacy probably but he's soooo gorgeous.

He is FIT. I have no clue about youngsters but I totally approve of your obsession. Go and get him... go oooon!

I am continually falling in love with large Thoroughbreds. Strictly speaking I don't need a large Thoroughbred because I am only 5'4" (163cm) and my big barrelled 15.2hh Thoroughbred carried me quite nicely before his retirement.

But I have decided that having owned and ridden very tall horses in the past and with the years going past (I am 47) that my next horse will be a very tall Thoroughbred, preferably of Warmblood type. Because the horses I can ride and care for now probably won't be the same type they will be when I get much older, as soon as I feel able to offer a horse a forever home, that will when one of these horses comes home with me.

So in the meantime, I just use their photos as wallpapers on my computer.

My heart aches for this horse. He really did win $6.6 million. What does a horse have to do to get a decent retirement? The only reason I don't have him right now is a lack of money. He is well within my capabilities.

I've always had 16hh+ TB ex-racers, but when Rebel was PTS and I said that I would never have another horse, I went out and bought this after about 6 weeks - I was looking for a 15hh+ riding horse, but I got this - two years old and 13.2hh!! (She'll grow - I hope!!)
The advert for her was awful - photo of her sticking her tongue out over the stable door - but a friend e-mailed me the ad at work and I kept looking at it and then going back to it and looking some more - so when we went to "look" at her, I just happened to take the horsebox (it needed a run out, honest!) and some cash which was strangely in the region of the asking price!!

Funnily enough... My first youngster was like this & current pony..

1st baby was 15hh welsh d x tb, 4 yr old.. Nothing like what i wanted but kept coming back to his ad & i couldnt resist!

Current pony i saw advertised & fell in love but i ended up with a diff horse on loan.. When that horse went back my pony had been readvertised.. Again not what i wanted but i got him on loan& his owner basically gave him to me(cheap price)... Strange when i spent so long looking at his ad then ignoring it,coming back etc... :)
