Hi Sam,

Hope foot is on the mend

My RID mare felt too wide for me and I always felt perched on the saddle but since I changed my saddle I feel much more confident and she doesn't feel so wide.

Probably told you all this on COSMO in the past?

She's in a wide saddle, your boy looks like he's probably an Xtra wide.

If he's too wide there's not alot you can do about it and I'm sure OH would secretly like George to himself so start looking for a lovely mare

He's off the chart wide - have to have M2M.

For his dressage saddle, albion had to build him his own tree template! they've used it once since...on a shire!

I had a similar situation with my previous horse. Bought as 5 year old 16hh warmblood grew to 16.2hh+ by the time he was 8. The fitter he got, the more overhorsed I felt. Broke my wrist in a fall last year (freak accident, not his fault). Sold him to get something a little smaller and more suitable for me.

Perhaps lunge him first when your back riding.

Yeah, been thinking the "back to riding" plan through and lunging first is on the list

I think my whining is mainly down to the fact I see he and Mike together and get jealous to have that myself. ie, a good match.

I can get a better tune on the flat than Mike but as for just general fun riding I know he and I aren't ideal *sigh* It's taken me quite a long time to admit that to myself.
