Ever just felt really lucky??? (Major gushy post)

So in April I had a horse fail the vet - at a low I went to see a 4 year old gelding (in backed) who did nothing for me. When I saw a black mare in the field - that was it - within an hour I said I'd have her... Out of the field breaking all my rules about seeing in stable etc etc... And she is fab... Over the last 6 weeks she has been backed and today she floated round the school... She has been such a joy. She is a real 'people' horse too has lovely manners and wants to please ...

I feel so lucky. I knew when I bought her she moved well I couldn't have hoped more for her temperament ... Sometimes you just get lucky in life...

I hope you guys feel just half as lucky as I do atm.... And remind me of this post when she dumps me in a hedge;)
 
Aw that's lovely. I always believe things fall through for a reason. You were meant to have this mare. I hope she continues to bring you so much pleasure.
 
I am so very pleased for you, owning a lovely black mare myself I know where you are coming from, everyone deserves a bit of luck sometimes or sometimes things are just meant to be, enjoy your time together and I look forward to hearing more from the pair of you x
 
sounds like you got lucky, congratulations :) I got lucky too. I bought a scrag of a un handled welsh d yearling for £150 because I felt sorry for him 3 years ago. I backed him myself 6 months ago and he is just awesome, hasn't put a foot wrong. And to top it all he turned out totally beautiful so I feel blessed every day.
