Every year i do it, every year i say '' i'll not do that again'

I finally got organised enough this year to have an off white jumper standing by for grooming the moulting grey horse. It will get washed when his summer coat is through!

I deliberately full clip horses (late so I only have to do it once a winter) who don't really do enough work to warrant it just so I can avoid the moulting. They're perfectly warm though!

I try to avoid grooming and let them shed their own coats! Having said that, I've been using the dogs furminator on them this week, and it's so satisfying that it makes up for the hairiness!

Who decided fleeces are the go to fabric for horsey people anyway LOL

All those years when I had chestnuts and bays I mocked people with greys. Now. I have a grey and white skewbald - double whammy ;)

Now mine's retired I don't groom her much, and never when she's moulting! Gone are the days of looking like I'm wearing a white horse hair shirt :D

I actually changed from my fleece to a normal hoody earlier before I went out to groom my grey (white) horse ;) Even worse was it was a really windy day, I'm still picking long white hairs out of my eyes and mouth... Even when I simply feed them in the morning I seem to get covered - I hate to think what the mums at nursery think of me, I hadnt realised I had a huge splash of dried on mud up my jeans the other day I dropped my son off (due to a quick sprint out to put rugs on as was drizzling!) :( Hey ho I'm the hairy muddy mummy!

I have a 'clipping hoody ' which spends its whole disgusting hair encrusted life in a plastic bag except for when I clip and do the mammoth grooming session to get rid of moulting hair, which is done now :) all summer coat. hoody can go back in bag until winter clip now lol
